I recovered this bell from a Lyons Monarch single F-horn, serial number 3142. I count not find any information on its original construction date, but know that Lyons stopped making horns (or any instruments) in 1970, so it predates that year. It is a lovely bell and reminds me a bit of the Conn 4D sound.
It has been delacquered, cleaned, fitted with an Alexander ring, and 8 Christmas tree silhouettes with an accompanying Christmas star have been soldered onto the outer bell surface--evenly spaced around the bell rim. All the applied items are nickel silver (0.016" thick).
The bell with Alexander ring weighed 395g before the brass applique. It weights 419g after the applique was applied.

The bell interior has very light and uneven patina. It can be polished to a brilliant brass shine if desired.
