About Scout
Scout is my workshop companion. He was born in August 2020 and is a Lab-Rottweiler mix: 50% Black Labrador Retriever, 25% Chocolate Labrador Retriever, and 25% Rottweiler. His main job is smelling everything and wanting to play. But, he is best at public relations and customer outreach.
Scout is friendly with everybody--with no exceptions--and wants to be the center of attention all the time. You will receive a good dose of Scout if you get an opportunity to visit our workshop in Pembroke, NH. He is also quite obedient; he will calm down once he gets tired or is brought to his dog bed in the horn shop.
What else does Scout enjoy? Scout loves his daily walks through the forest surrounding our workshop. He needs to collect as many smells as possible. He is very interested in chipmunks, squirrels, turkey and deer, which we often see during our walks. Scout is not the most food motivated dog, but will be happy to eat treats that are offered to him. Besides dog biscuits, he really enjoys pizza, and oddly, apple cores. Scout is excellent at howling along with me when I practice. He also accompanies my woodwind quintet with a few howls and an occasional sip of the bassoonist's reed water (a bit gross). Lastly, he insists on a bedtime story every evening; I don't have an explanation.
