This bell flare was made out of a vintage Cleveland Musical Instrument Company, King bell. The serial number was 4616, but the horn looks to be 1960s or 1970s era. The bell has been delacquered, cleaned and brought to a light brushed finish (it is not polished), fitted with an Alexander Bell ring, and then customized with the bell-flare-like cut-outs.
Original mass with bell ring = 465g; current mass after customization = 426g.
