This bell is a nice vintage yellow brass Conn 14D from 1967; serial number K44139. It has been delacquered, cleaned, and fitted with an Alexander ring. There are 7 artistic waves appliqued around the perimeter ring of the bell. The wave design was inspired by the awesome woodblock print by the great Japanese artist Hokusai, known as The Great Wave off Kanagawa. The waves are made out Nickel Silver, Yellow Brass, and Copper.
The bell with Alexander ring weighed 381g before the wave applique. It weighs 470g after the waves were applied. The bell makes a pleasing sound and is very difficult to overblow.
